Editorial: International Congress on Antiphospholipid Antibodies 2022
Abstract
On behalf of the 17th International Congress on aPL (ICAPA), it is our pleasure to welcome you to the University of Córdoba, Argentina from the 11th to 14th of May 2022. Approaching the 40th anniversary since the description of APS, we have worked in a very comprehensive and exciting programme that will review and debate clinical and basic research, all of great relevance across a range of medical specialties including Cardiology, Haematology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Obstetrics, Pediatrics and Rheumatology among many others. Research in the field of APS is continuously advancing, providing a better understanding on the mechanisms of aPL mediated clinical events with the solid aim of improving the life of those living with APS. During this meeting, we will be discussing newly described mechanisms and pathways, the clinical impact of APS and related conditions as well as exploring data on potential and readily available new treatments. While many lectures will be delivered by experts in the field, this mee- ting will serve as the platform for young investigators and clinicians to present their work to an international audience.References
