Delayed onset of biologic or targeted synthetic dmards in rheumatoid arthritis patients and associated factors
Abstract
Introduction: the goal of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) treatment is to obtain remission or low activity of the disease. In those patients who did not achieve this objective with conventional treatment, biologic or targeted synthetic disease-modifying anti- rheumatic drugs (bDMARD or tsDMARD, respectively) are indicated. The period of time between the prescription of these medications and its administration is variable. Objectives: to describe the delay time between the prescription of a bDMARD or tsDMARD and the administration of the rst dose, and its related reasons.References
